Greensmart Corporation
Greensmart Corporation, established in 1996 and headquartered in Kwun Tong, Hong Kong, underwent a significant transformation in June 2003. Previously known as AgroCan Corporation, the company adopted its current name following an asset acquisition agreement with Winsmart Development, Ltd. As part of this transaction, Greensmart issued 29,868,737 shares of its common stock to Winsmart. In exchange, Winsmart transferred to Greensmart approximately 553,212 young eucalyptus trees, cultivated across 340 leased hectares, along with a tree seedling and nursery operation situated on 3.3 leased hectares. Through its subsidiary, AgroCan (China), Inc., Greensmart primarily manufactures custom-blended compound fertilizers. These formulations are specifically tailored to optimize plant growth by accounting for diverse local environmental factors, such as soil composition, climate, and specific crop requirements. Compound fertilizers are complex products, fundamentally composed of the three essential macronutrients—nitrogen, phosphate, and potassium—supplemented with crucial micronutrients including iron, zinc, copper, and manganese. These elements are meticulously combined in varying proportions, processed into pellets, and then packaged for distribution. The company's fertilizer products find extensive application in cultivating a broad spectrum of crops, including paddy rice, wheat, corn, sugar cane, tobacco, cotton, various vegetables, and both tree and fruit plantations. Marketed under the 'AgroCan Three Leaves' brand, Greensmart's fertilizers are primarily distributed via the farming supply bureaus and cooperatives operating under the State Internal Trade Bureau of the People's Republic of China. These governmental and cooperative entities act as wholesale distributors, supplying the products to individual farmers. Furthermore, state-owned farms and agricultural plantations constitute another key segment of the company's clientele.
