Its operations are structured across three divisions: Cigarettes, Paperboards, and Others. The company's product portfolio includes various types of clove cigarettes, such as traditional hand-rolled, modern machine-made, and klobot variants. These products are sold under prominent brand families, including Gudang Garam, Surya, and GG, among others. Beyond its principal tobacco business, PT Gudang Garam Tbk also diversifies into numerous other activities. These encompass trading, supplying safety protective equipment, providing investment and construction services, tobacco processing, non-scheduled air transport, and entertainment offerings. Originally established in 1958 as PT Perusahaan Rokok Tjap "Gudang Garam" Kediri, the firm maintains its headquarters in Kediri, Indonesia, and functions as a subsidiary of PT Suryaduta Investama.
