Beyond its primary focus on iron ore, the company also actively seeks out copper and gold deposits. Its significant iron ore mining activities are concentrated in Western Australia's Pilbara region. This includes managing the Chichester Hub, which encompasses the Cloudbreak and Christmas Creek mines within the Chichester ranges, and the Solomon Hub, home to the Firetail, Kings Valley, and Queens Valley mines located in the Hamersley ranges. Fortescue is additionally progressing with the construction of the Eliwana mine, another key project within the Pilbara. Expanding its international presence, the company holds a diverse array of exploration sites spanning South American nations such as Ecuador, Argentina, Colombia, Peru, Chile, and Brazil, alongside holdings in Portugal and Kazakhstan. Fortescue also provides essential port towage services. Established in 1983, Fortescue's corporate headquarters are situated in East Perth, Australia.
