The company's operations are divided into two primary segments: Hearing Instruments and Cochlear Implants. Sonova's extensive offerings include advanced wireless communication devices, rechargeable hearing aids, wireless headsets, speech-enhanced hearables, premium audiophile headphones, microphones, and wireless transmission systems, alongside comprehensive audiological care services. Its renowned hearing aid brands comprise Phonak, Unitron, and Hansaton, while Advanced Bionics is its flagship for cochlear implants. For consumer audio, Sonova offers products under the Sennheiser brand. The company delivers its audiological care through a vast network of around 3,600 clinics and stores operating under various regional names such as AudioNova, Audium, and Boots Hearingcare, among others. Additionally, its products are distributed via independent partners. Sonova boasts a significant international presence, serving markets across the United States, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and the Asia Pacific. Founded in 1947, the company was formerly known as Phonak Holding AG before officially changing its name to Sonova Holding AG in August 2007.
