Bulls Say, Bears Say
Bulls Say
Balance Sheet StrengthExceptionally low leverage and a large equity base provide durable financial flexibility. This allows the company to fund exploration cycles, meet JV commitments and withstand commodity shocks without urgent refinancing, supporting long-term project development and reduced default risk.
Improved Cash Flow TrendMoving from sizable historical cash burn to roughly neutral operating and free cash flow in FY2025 indicates management has materially reduced outflows. Sustained improvement would lower reliance on external funding and reduce dilution risk, enabling steadier capital allocation to appraisal and development.
Focused Upstream Asset & JV ModelA clear upstream focus in a prolific basin combined with a joint-venture approach concentrates technical expertise and spreads capital and operational risk. This structural model supports project de-risking and access to partner funding, improving chances of progressing discoveries to commercial development.
Bears Say
No Reported RevenueA persistent absence of operating revenue means the business has yet to convert resources into sales. Long-term viability depends on demonstrating commercial production or monetization; until then the company remains exposed to funding risk and must rely on partners or capital markets.
Negative Operating EarningsRecurrent negative EBIT shows core operations are not generating profits and any reported net profit may be from non-operating items. Without sustained operating profitability from projects, margin recovery is uncertain and the company remains exposed to execution risk and ongoing cost pressures.
Volatile Historical Cash BurnLarge, volatile historical free cash flow deficits indicate the company has required substantial funding cycles in recent years. Such swings complicate planning, increase dependence on external financing or JV funding, and raise the risk of dilution if project milestones are delayed.
