In New Zealand, the Food segment specializes in the procurement and sale of food and beverages, catering to retail customers via its 190 Countdown supermarkets. Furthermore, the BIG W segment deals in acquiring and vending discounted general merchandise to Australian shoppers through its 176 BIG W outlets. Beyond these, the company also engages in wholesale activities. Established in 1924 and headquartered in Bella Vista, Australia, the entity was originally known as Woolworths Limited until its official rebranding to Woolworths Group Limited in December 2017.
