The April consumer price index (CPI) report released this morning, showing U.S. inflation growing 2.3% year-over-year, the lowest rate since February 2021 and below the estimate for 2.4%.
Trump Touts Low Inflation and Prices
The President also pointed out that gasoline, energy, and grocery prices have all fallen lower, adding that the Fed cutting rates would be a “beautiful thing.” Trump is currently in the Middle East meeting with several key leaders and announced a $600 billion investment commitment from Saudi Arabia today.
