The plan focuses on innovation, infrastructure, and international diplomacy. It recommends easing regulations and increasing spending for data centers, energy infrastructure, and research.
“Whoever has the largest AI ecosystem will set global AI standards and reap broad economic and military benefits,” reads the plan. “Just like we won the space race, it is imperative that the United States and its allies win this race.”
Trump’s AI Action Plan
The plan adds that U.S. workers should benefit from the development of AI, which will create high-paying jobs. AI will also improve the standard of living through breakthroughs in medicine, manufacturing, and other fields.
Furthermore, bad actors will inevitably seek to use AI for malicious purposes, and the U.S. must be vigilant in keeping this technology away from them. AI technology should be unbiased in order to provide accurate and informative data to users.
