Trump Floats Meeting with China President Xi Jinping
Trump also added that the U.S.-China weekend talks in Geneva went very well, adding that “the relationship is very good. We’re not looking to hurt China.”
The talks resulted in the U.S. imposing a 90-day tariff reduction on Chinese goods to 30% from 145%. In response, China will reduce its tariff rate on U.S. goods to 10% from 125% for 90 days.
The iShares China Large-Cap ETF (FXI) is getting a boost from the news and is up by 2.93%.
