“No fake news here. These first drafts honoring America’s 250th Birthday and @POTUS are real,” Beach said in an X post on Friday. “Looking forward to sharing more soon, once the obstructionist shutdown of the United States government is over.”

U.S. Treasury Shares Trump $1 Coin Draft

A first draft of the coin features Trump’s profile alongside the traditional “Liberty” and “In God We Trust” text on the front of the coin. The other side shows Trump with his fist clenched in front of a U.S. flag with the words “FIGHT, FIGHT, FIGHT” and “E Pluribus Unum.” The draft “reflects well the enduring spirit of our country and democracy, even in the face of immense obstacles,” said a Treasury Department spokesperson.

During his first term, Trump approved the Circulating Collectible Coin Redesign Act of 2020, which allows the Treasury to mint new one-dollar coins celebrating America’s 250th birthday starting January 1, 2026.
