WWE (WWE) announced that WrestleMania 39 became highest-grossing event in company history. The two-night, sold-out event at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles set new records for viewership, gate, sponsorship, merchandise and social media, WWE said. WrestleMania 39 generated a gate of more than $21.6M, breaking the previous record by 27%, with 161,892 in attendance at SoFi Stadium over the two nights, it added. On Monday, Endeavor (EDR) and WWE announced that they have signed a definitive agreement to form a new, publicly listed company consisting of two global sports and entertainment brands: UFC and WWE.
