In an interview on CNBC’s Mad Money, Michael Skipworth said Wingstop grew primarily by transaction growth in 2023. It ended the year with a record of pipeline commitments. “We believe we are operating in a category of one,” he added. 67% of the company’s sales came through digital channels in 2023, and he’s looking for that to grow to 100% over time. The international business is poised for growth and he’s hoping to triple it. “There’s a ton of runway for us and our advertising strategy is working,” he noted.
