As previously reported, Summit Insights upgraded Western Digital to Buy from Hold after the company’s September-end quarter sales grew by a slightly-better-than-consensus 3% quarter-over-quarter. Western Digital is “finally emerging from the storage cyclical downturn,” says the analyst, who thinks demand will improve through calendar Q4 and into 2024 and expects flash industry pricing dynamics to improve in 2024.
