Wells sees preliminary injunction in Insulet case against EOFlow

Wells Fargo says the firm’s patent consultant believes that in the next few days, and possibly as early as today, the Massachusetts court overseeing Insulet’s (PODD) case against EOFlow will issue a preliminary injunction forbidding EOFlow from using or disclosing Insulet’s trade secrets. The consultant believes that if the secrets are significant, Insulet could claim a “significant remedy,” either a financial award or some other leverage to disrupt the commercial release of the EOPatch, the analyst tells investors in a research note. Wells believes Insulet “could hold hostage” the value of Medtronic’s acquisition of EOFlow.
