Morgan Stanley raised the firm’s price target on Wells Fargo (WFC) to $97 from $95 and keeps an Equal Weight rating on the shares. A 12% EPS beat was largely driven by lower provision and higher fees, notes the analyst, who also points out that Wells raised the medium-term ROTCE target to 17-18% from 15% and “left the door open for further improvement.”
