Wayfair could be target for Shein or Temu, Information predicts

In an article about predictions for 2024, The Information Staff noted that Chinese e-commerce giants Shein and Temu have begun to sell a broader range of products and argues that this shift “could prompt one of them to pursue an acquisition of struggling Boston-based home goods and furniture seller Wayfair in 2024.” The publication added: “A deal could make sense for either firm. Wayfair owns a large domestic network of warehouses and fulfillment operations that could help fast-fashion giant Shein compete more effectively with Amazon. It would also strengthen Shein’s case that it is investing in creating American jobs.”
