Warner Bros. Discovery’s (WBD) video game division, which is still reeling after last year’s “Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League” flopped, has continued to have difficulty with the development of new projects, with its current “Wonder Woman” game struggling to coalesce, Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier’ reports, citing people familiar with the project. The game was rebooted early last year with a new director and has already cost over $100M to make, the author notes. Meanwhile, Rocksteady, the Warner Bros.-owned studio responsible for “Suicide Squad” and the “Batman: Arkham” games, is looking to make a new single-player “Batman” game, but that new project appears to be years away from landing, the author says, citing people familiar with the timeline.
