Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) sued the National Basketball Association in New York state court after the league announced the end of their broadcast partnership, Beth Wang of Bloomberg reports. The NBA entered into news agreements with Disney (DIS), Comcast (CMCSA) and Amazon.com (AMZN), ending a contract that for decades has allowed Turner Broadcasting, which is owned by Warner Bros., to air games and its “Inside the NBA” studio show, Wang points out. While the lawsuit was filed under seal, Turner filed its 2014 broadcasting deal with the NBA as an exhibit, the journalist adds.
