Veritas in early talks with BlackBerry on potential buyout, Bloomberg says

Veritas Capital is considering a potential offer for BlackBerry and is interested in acquiring all of the company, Crystal Tse, Liana Baker and Kiel Porter of Bloomberg report, citing people familiar with the matter. The talks are early and other suitors are also interested in the whole or parts of BlackBerry, sources told Bloomberg. BlackBerry in May said it would review its portfolio of businesses and consider strategic alternatives to boost shareholder value for shareholders. Shares of BlackBerry are up 16% to $5.16 following the report.
