Barclays raised the firm’s price target on Valero (VLO) to $169 from $151 and keeps an Overweight rating on the shares ahead of the Q3 report. The firm says that despite relatively strong refining fundamentals, it reduced Valero’s earnings estimates on lower than anticipated system-wide capture. However, it views the company as one of our best positioned refiners.
