The US House of Representatives China Committee is making inquiries with venture capital firm Sequoia Capital about investments it made in China, Demetri Sevastopulo and George Hammond wrote for the Financial Times. Mike Gallagher and Raja Krishnamoorthi, a Republican and Democrat on the panel, made a request for the VC firm “to list investments in groups developing AI, machine learning, chips and quantum that are based or have “significant operations” in China,” added the FT story. On its website Sequoia Capital names Cisco (CSCO), Google (GOOG) to Instagram (META) to Airbnb(ABNB), Zoom (ZM) as companies the firm has partnered with.
