In a regulatory filing, United States Steel shared an email that was sent to employees on March 19 in which the company stated in part: “Nippon Steel’s proposed acquisition of U.S. Steel generated a significant amount of media coverage over the last week, so we’ve expanded this week’s edition in this series to ensure you see the strong, continued support being expressed for this deal.”
