TSMC (TSM) will not have to pay the 100% tariff on sales to the U.S., Yian Lee and Miaojung Lin of Bloomberg report. “TSMC is exempted from the chip tariffs because it has set up plants in the US,” Liu Chin-ching, the minister in charge of the National Development Council, said, according to Reuters.
