“The Sims” movie adaptation from Amazon MGM Studios (AMZN) has been officially confirmed by video game maker Electronic Arts (EA), Variety’s Jennifer Maas reports. EA formally announced the project Tuesday, along with a slew of other reveals about the future of “The Sims” franchise, which is being produced by “Barbie” star Margot Robbie’s production company LuckyChap with Kate Herron, who helmed “Loki,” set to direct the movie and co-write with Briony Redman.
