For months, tensions grew between Salesforce (CRM) co-Chief Executives Marc Benioff and Brent Taylor over their responsibilities and how the business was run, resulting in the announcement last week that Taylor would exit the role, Emily Glazer, Aaron Tilley, and Lauren Thomas of The Wall Street Journal report, citing people familiar with the executives. Benioff had become frustrated over how Taylor was spending his time, believing he was spending too much time as Twitter’s (TWTR) chairman and with other CEOs and not enough on Salesforce, sources added.
