Targa Resources (TRGP) rebuffed informal takeover interest from Williams Cos. (WMB) in recent months, people with knowledge of the matter told Bloomberg’s David Carnevali, Dinesh Nair and Elizabeth Elkin. Targa viewed the overture from its larger rival as undervaluing the company, whose market value is now $33B, the report noted. Williams is still discussing the feasibility of a transaction, one of the people says, noting that there are currently no formal talks and it remains unclear whether the company will decide to pursue a deal.
