German financial regulator BaFin has installed a special supervisor at Deutsche Bank following deepening customer service issues at its subsidiary Postbank, The Financial Times’ Stephen Morris and Donato Paolo Mancini report. Last month, BaFin called the “considerable disturbances” and long wait times since the July migration of 12M Postbank clients “unacceptable,” and now says the monitor is being placed inside the bank to ensure the issues are addressed “quickly, completely and permanently.”
