Northland is elevating Supermicro to ‘Top Pick’ again after having attended the Bloomberg Intelligence Generative AI conference featuring Gen AI thought leaders and finding that pure play GPUaaS leaders are moving to water cooled faster than expected. The firm expects pure play GPUaaS players to take market share, which it calls a positive for Supermicro and “another driver to SMCI being an AI share gainer.” The firm has an Outperform rating and $450 price target on Supermicro shares.
