Spotify (SPOT) is turning its focus for further investment on video, Blomberg says. The music streamer wants “video-oriented creators to distribute their shows to the platform in addition to YouTube (GOOG),” according to people familiar with the matter, Bloomberg’s Ashley Carman writes. The size of any money deals “can vary significantly” depending on the artist, however Spotify is not interested in acquiring rights but rather is looking to “beef up its video catalog, added the story.
