Shares of Sphere Entertainment are up $1.73, or 5%, to $34.22 after Steve Cohen’s Point72 Asset Management disclosed in a regulatory filing last night it holds a 5.5% stake in the owner of the Las Vegas Sphere event venue. Like Sphere Executive Chairman and CEO James Dolan, who is the owner of the NBA’s New York Knicks and NHL’s New York Rangers, Cohen holds a prominent place in sports as the owner of the New York Mets.
