Citi lowered the firm’s price target on Southwest to $28.25 from $29 and keeps a Neutral rating on the shares. Southwest’s announced revenue management strategies seem to go against the view that the current management team is unwilling to change, the analyst tells investors in a research note. However, the firm says “the jury is out on whether domestic-oriented discount carriers can transform themselves in a manner in which their unit economics can start to approach those of the strongest network airlines.”
