Bernstein analyst David Vernon downgraded Southwest to Market Perform from Outperform. The analyst has lost confidence in the earnings trajectory of Southwest, saying the company’s margin recovery is lower than expected with no clear-cut exit out of near term headwinds. The company reported an “okay quarter with a bleak near-term outlook,” the analyst tells investors in a research note.
