Representatives from Sony (SONY) have not been in contact with the special committee formed by Paramount’s (PARA) board to review alternatives and offers, according to CNBC’s David Faber, citing sources. Previously, on April 18, the New York Times’ Benjamin Mullin and Lauren Hirsch reported that Sony Pictures and Apollo Global (APO) have been in talks over partnering for a possible joint offer to buy Paramount.
