Sony (SONY) confirmed in an interview with Yahoo Japan that it is interested in acquiring FromSoftware majority shareholder Kadokawa, IGN’s Michcael Cripe reported yesterday. The company acknowledged that it made an initial statement of intent to acquire the gaming and anime conglomerate, but refused to comment further, Cripe added. The Fly notes that FromSoftware is the developer behind Bandai Namco’s (NCBDY) hit game “Elden Ring.”
