Sony has told current and former staff and their family members that it experienced a cybersecurity breach that exposed personal information, Bleeping Computer’s Bill Toulas reported yesterday. The company issued the data breach notification to roughly 6,800 individuals, confirming that the intrusion happened after an unauthorized party exploited a zero-day vulnerability in the MOVEit Transfer platform, the author says.
