Currently it is expected that neither of the two takeover offers for Paramount (PARA) — neither the one from Skydance or Sony (SONY) and Apollo (APO) — will come to fruition, Variety’s Todd Spangler reports, citing insiders. Paramount controlling shareholder Shari Redstone is said to have reluctantly determined that a deal with longtime partner Skydance will not happen, the author notes.
