SES AI announced a major step in its commercialization of this next-generation battery technology. The company’s 100 Ah Li-Metal cells for automotive applications are the first in the industry to successfully pass safety tests required by China’s GB38031-2020 Electric Vehicles Traction Battery Safety Standard. This certification is used by all of SES AI’s EV OEM partners, as well as many of the other leading manufacturers, as a global standard.
