SBA Communications (SBAC) is among the companies eyeing Cellnex’s (CLNXF) Irish unit, Reuters’ Amy-Jo Crowley and Andres Gonzalez report. According to five sources familiar with the matter, Blackstone (BX)-backed Phoenix Tower and Asterion Industrial are also vying for the Cellnex unit. Cellnex is being advised by Santander (SAN) and Barclays (BCS) on the deal and binding offers from the three parties are expected next week, three of the sources add. A deal could value the unit at close to EUR 1B, or $1.08B, according to the report.
