After a series of setbacks developing the type of memory chips necessary for the AI market, Samsung Electronics (SSNLF) is making progress narrowing the gap with rival SK Hynix (HXSCL), Yoolim Lee and Ian King of Bloomberg reports. Samsung has made some important strides in its comeback, including winning an approval from Nvidia (NVDA) for a version of high bandwidth memory chips, people familiar with the matter said.
