Salesforce is in advanced talks to acquire startup Own Company for about $2B and a deal could be announced as soon as today, Liana Baker and Brody Ford of Bloomberg report, citing people familiar with the matter. “Own is the leading data platform trusted by thousands of organizations to protect and activate SaaS data to transform their businesses. Own empowers customers to ensure the availability, security, and compliance of mission-critical data, while unlocking new ways to gain deeper insights faster,” the company says on its website.
