Saia reports October LTL shipments down 4.4%, November-to-date down 8.6%

The company states: "Saia is providing LTL shipment and tonnage data for the first two months of the fourth quarter. In October 2022, final LTL shipments per workday declined 4.4%, LTL tonnage per workday declined 3.0% and LTL weight per shipment increased 1.4% to 1,445 pounds compared to 1,425 pounds in October 2021. Through November 29, 2022, LTL shipments per workday have declined 8.6%, LTL tonnage per workday has declined 7.7% and LTL weight per shipment has increased 1.0% to 1,427 pounds compared to 1,413 pounds in November 2021."
