Roku said that access to 15,363 streaming user accounts had been breached by “unauthorized individuals” who in certain cases aimed to buy subscriptions through the hack, Variety’s Todd Spangler reports, citing a filing with the Maine Attorney General’s Office. The company said it secured the impacted accounts from any further unauthorized access by mandating the registered account holder reset the password, the author notes.
