Rivian (RIVN) founder and CEO RJ Scaringe said that the car maker still has no plans to adopt Apple (AAPL) CarPlay into its vehicles, The Verge’s Jess Weatherbed reports. “We have a great relationship with Apple,” Scaringe told The Verge’s Nilay Patel in an episode of Decoder. “As much as I love their products, there’s a reason that ironically is very consistent with Apple ethos for us to want to control the ecosystem.” The CEO added that CarPlay isn’t “consistent with how we think about really creating a pure product experience.”
