Regenxbio announced that Mitchell Chan has been appointed as Executive Vice President and CFO, effective September 17. A veteran finance executive and operating partner in the biotechnology industry, Chan has held key roles in raising capital, business development transactions and operations for nearly 20 years. Most recently, he served as Operating Partner at Catalio Capital Management, an investment firm focused on innovative biotechnology companies, where he served as acting CFO of several portfolio companies and advised on the firm’s investments. Chan succeeds Vit Vasista, who served as Executive Vice President and CFO since 2009. Vasista will serve as an advisor to the company through January 3, 2025, to support a smooth transition.
