Qualcomm (QCOM) CEO Cristiano Amon told CNBC the chip designer is working with Samsung (SSNLF) and Google (GOOGL) to explore mixed-reality smart glasses, Arjun Kharpal reports. The glasses would be a different approach from Apple’s (AAPL) Vision Pro headset, which can be controlled by hand gestures and is worn on a user’s head, Amon says. The executive commented that “What I really expect to come out of this partnership, I want everyone that has a phone to go buy companion glasses to go along with it.”
