Proposal to cut Medicaid spending aims for GOP middle ground, WSJ says

House Republicans are releasing their plan to cut Medicaid spending, with defenders of the program appearing to win the intraparty clash over how aggressively to change the system, Olivia Beavers and Liz Essley Whyte of The Wall Street Journal reports. The bill does not lower the minimum share the federal government contributes to Medicaid in each state but will include work requirements and more frequent eligibility checks. ublicly traded companies in the space include CVS Health (CVS), Centene (CNC), Cigna (CI), Elevance Health (ELV), Humana (HUM), Molina Healthcare (MOH) and UnitedHealth (UNH).
