Days before MGM‘s (MGM) computer systems were taken down in a cyberattack, casino operator Caesars (CZR) paid out a ransom worth $15M to a cybercrime group that managed to infiltrate and disrupt its systems, CNBC’s Rohan Goswami and Contessa Brewer report, citing sources. The same cybercrime group also made a ransom demand to MGM, the sources say.
