PowerSchool initiated with a Buy at Needham

Needham analyst Ryan MacDonald initiated coverage of PowerSchool with a Buy rating and $26 price target. MacDonald believes PowerSchool’s comprehensive platform will support share gains in what may be a consolidating K-12 ed tech market as educators look to rationalize spend following rapid adoption during the pandemic, the analyst tells investors in a research note. He also expects a two-year funding tailwind to support PowerSchool’s cross-selling efforts and power 10%+ growth and a path towards a mid-30% EBITDA margin.
