In terms of the different opinions of Fed members, Powell said the Fed doesn’t debatee or try to agree on projections, and that it’s “not surprising” that there is a wide range of views at the central bank. He added that the current situation of two-sidded risk doesn’t mean there’s no risk-free path, also noting that Fed members don’t frame questions in terms of political outcomes.
