Planet Labs (PL) announced the German Federal Ministry of the Interior and Community and the Federal Agency for Cartography and Geodesy signed a seven-figure contract expansion with Planet. The one-year contract, with options for two more years, includes a fixed rate for all of Planet’s data products over Germany, Planetary Variables insights, water monitoring services from partner EOMAP, and access to Planet’s Insights Platform. The data will inform monitoring of water, forests, agriculture, and land-use.
